ElvalHalcor was recognized as one of the most dynamic and fast growing Greek companies at the awards ceremony of "Diamonds of the Greek Economy 2019" Business Excellence Award, which took place on July 10, at Athens Hotel Grande Bretagne. The event, organized by New Times Publishing, awarded and honoured the "diamonds" businesses from the whole Greek business spectrum.
ElvalHalcor stood out as one of the most important business in the country for its continuous growth (based on economic indicators, stability criteria and upward trend), by strengthening the country’s export activity and contributing to the improvement of the overall business environment.
Mr. D. Kyriakopoulos, executive vice chairman of the BoD of ElvalHalcor, receiving the prize, made the following statement: "This distinction rewards the successful course of the Company, ongoing for more than 80 years. A continuous team effort and a prize dedicated to our people, as they are the driving force in every effort, to every success we have achieved so far. With their high expertise and know-how, team spirit and dedication, they lead ElvalHalcor to continuous growth and business success". In addition, he referred to ElvalHalcor's growth and business leadership it is embracing and mentioned that: "2018 was a year of strong growth, as ElvalHalcor had impressive results. The company managed to increase sales and profitability for another year. Revenue of ElvalHalcor reached EUR 2.1 billion consolidated earnings before taxes reached EUR 76 million and export activity exceeded 91.8%. The investments carried out exceeded EUR 92 million, while the Company increased jobs by 14%.” In conclusion, Mr. Kyriakopoulos pointed out a clear message: “ElvalHalcor believes and invests steadily in Greece. In 2019, we continue dynamically with the peaking of the investment of EUR 150 million for the installation of the four-stand tandem aluminium hot rolling mill. With the same commitment and consistency, we will continue in the future, focused on Sustainable Development."
