ElvalHalcor received 1st place in the “Globalization” award category, at the Business Awards “Hrima 2019” held at the Divani Caravel Hotel, Athens on Friday, February 21st.

For the 17th consecutive year, readers of the financial-investment "Hrima" magazine, as well as visitors of the business-financial portal, banks.com.gr, highlighted and rewarded companies that contribute effectively to the development of the national economy, employment and the Greek capital market.

ElvalHalcor’s success derives from its commercial export orientation, customer-focused philosophy and innovation which comes through continuous investment in R&D. The Company has more than 80 years of experience, a strong production base across 14 industrial units, a market presence in over 100 countries, and highly experienced and specialized personnel.

Receiving the award, Mr. S. Kokkolis, Chief Financial Officer of ElvalHalcor, said: “This distinction is a great honour for us as it rewards our decades-long efforts towards a truly globalised business strategy. During 2019, we further consolidated our presence in the markets we operate in and increased our global market shares. In maintaining our leading position in Europe via the copper segment - and in the aluminum segment with the big investment of the new four-stand tandem aluminium hot rolling finishing mill which will be operational in April - we aim to further strengthen our position in the global market.” He also emphasized that with the completion of the investment project, ElvalHalcor will have the second largest aluminum rolling plant in Europe - a plant with high-tech products, employment creation and added value, contributing to sustainable development and the national economy.

Concluding his thank you speech, Mr. S. Kokkolis noted that "the most important factor for international success resulting in this distinction is of course ElvalHalcor’s talented and experienced human resources."
